Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of short grain rice / sushi rice
  • 1-2 cans of tuna depending on how much you want
  • Rice vinegar
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sriracha
  • Salt
  • Nori seaweed

Optional:

  • Bonito flakes
  • Kimchi
  • Sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions:

Cook your rice, then transfer to a large bowl. Add a splash or two of rice vinegar, a bit of salt, 2-3 scoops of mayo, a hefty squirt of sriracha, and stir to combine. Take two sheets of nori and roughly cut them up into tiny pieces, stir to combine (I do this in several rounds so the seaweed doesn’t get all clumped up.)

Add your tuna and break it up into small pieces. If you are using any other toppings like kimchi (I usually will chop up the kimchi but if you’re lazy there’s no need), add them now. Have a taste and see if you want to add anything else.

Cut 3 sheets of nori in half, then hold them horizontally and cut again into 3 pieces. You should get 6 rectangles from each sheet. Then add your rice mixture to each rectangle and roll them up! Bone apple teeth!
